Nigel Farage denies Clacton candidacy is a publicity stunt
Nigel Farage stepped down as Clacton MP on Tuesday, refuting allegations that his renewed candidacy in a by-election constitutes a publicity stunt. Reform UK is proposing the by-election for 6 August, but it is unclear if the council can hold it then. The Labour, Conservative, Liberal Democrat, and Green parties have each opted not to participate in the contest.
