Tehran locals buy food as rice prices jump
Residents of Iran's capital are purchasing extra supplies amid ongoing explosions and growing anxiety regarding the war's length. One local reported that rice costs rose to 625 tomans shortly after fighting began on Saturday. To ensure local availability, the government has suspended all agricultural exports until further notice. Additionally, security presence has increased across the empty streets while shops near struck areas remain closed.
