Zelenskyy demands better air defences as Trump praises peace talks
After severe Russian attacks cut heating for large parts of Kyiv, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy demanded immediate upgrades to Ukraine’s air defence network and signaled that underperforming departments could face staff shake-ups. At the same time, US President Donald Trump said recent talks had gone extremely well, hinting that progress could come soon. In a separate development, a senior Russian military commander is hospitalized in a coma after a shooting in Moscow, an incident Ukrainian officials deny being linked to it.
