Yorkshire Water chief executive Nicola Shaw is stepping down, a day after the Environment Agency handed the company its lowest possible one-star environmental rating. The regulator blamed 260 pollution incidents in 2025, the firm's worst total since 2011. Shaw, criticised over £1.3m in undisclosed payments, leaves on 1 January. Ex-National Grid environmental health officer Nicola Medalova will replace her after a short handover starting Monday.
