Yorkshire and Humber installed a record 9,700 solar panels in H1 2026

Yorkshire and the Humber fitted 9,700 solar installations in the first six months of this year, a record for the region. The 9,700 solar panels are sufficient to supply electricity to as many as 16,300 homes. Rooftop solar could save a typical UK home £500 annually, according to estimates from the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero.
