EU plans to halve UK's tariff-free steel
UK steel imports to the EU face a dramatic cut of almost half, a change the UK industry warns is "devastating". The UK business secretary, Peter Kyle, will meet his European counterpart on Friday in Brussels to discuss the new quota system. The new quotas will see overall tariff-free imports from non-EU countries drop by 47% from July 1.
