Meta lays off hundreds, blames AI shift
Meta laid off several hundred employees Wednesday across Reality Labs, Facebook, recruiting, sales, and global operations. The cuts are part of a broader restructuring as the company shifts focus toward artificial intelligence. Some affected employees are being offered other roles or relocation options. Meta, which employs nearly 79,000 people, has not ruled out further layoffs.
