Saudi Aramco profit jumps 26% in quarter

Higher oil prices helped lift earnings as supply problems around the Strait of Hormuz pushed crude costs upwards. Saudi Aramco said on Sunday its adjusted first-quarter net income reached nearly 126 billion riyals, beating analyst forecasts of 109 billion riyals after stronger prices for crude, fuel and chemical products. Brent crude climbed more than 43 per cent in March during the conflict.
