Cuba's 29-Hour Blackout Is Over But the US Oil Blockade Isn't
Most of Cuba's 10 million residents saw electricity return after a widespread national power failure disrupted daily life. The country reconnected its power grid and brought online the Antonio Guiteras power plant by 6:11pm GMT on Tuesday. This ended a complete power outage, the first such collapse since the US cut off the island's oil supply from Venezuela.
