Ofsted drops autism-extremism link from inspector training

Ofsted, the education watchdog, has removed guidance for inspectors that connected autism with extremism after protests from celebrity campaigners. An education minister confirmed on Friday that updated training no longer mentions children with autism. Worries that autistic children were being directed towards Prevent, the government's initiative to counter radicalisation, prompted the change.
