London march banned: First Met protest stop in a decade.
Serious public disorder could be prevented by banning a pro-Palestinian march, given its scale and planned counter-protests in London. Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood approved a Metropolitan police request to stop the annual Al Quds Day march scheduled for Sunday. The march had faced criticism for its organisers' support of late Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
