NHS moves disabled woman to nursing home against will
Lucinda Ritchie, 33, was taken to an Uckfield care facility instead of her West Sussex bungalow. Her family claims staff switched off her wheelchair to force the move after ten months in hospital. Ms Ritchie’s health declined within two days at the new location, requiring immediate readmission to hospital. While NHS Sussex cites safety concerns, a legal expert called moving a capable adult unwillingly unlawful.
