WW3 fears grow after Putin lifts 30-year ban on buying gas masks

Vladimir Putin has approved Russian families buying gas masks, lifting a ban that began after the Soviet Union collapsed in 1992. From March 1 next year, certified civilian filtering masks for adults and children will be available, alongside protective chambers for babies. The change comes as Russia restores Soviet-era civil-defence infrastructure across 82 regions.
