World Cup winners to get record $50 million prize money

The 2026 FIFA World Cup champions will receive a record $50 million in prize money, a significant increase from previous tournaments. FIFA has allocated a total of $871 million for the prize pool, which is nearly double the amount from the 2022 World Cup. All 48 participating teams also received $1.5 million for preparation costs, guaranteeing each nation at least $10.5 million.
