World Cup: $80M budget gap threatens China, India viewership

Billions of fans in China and India might miss the World Cup because no TV deals are agreed yet. Fifa initially sought $100 million from India and as much as $300 million from China; however, these figures have fallen considerably because the competition begins in merely one month. India's closest offer stands at $20m whilst China's state broadcaster has a budget around $60m-$80m.
