Woman and child injured in Russian missile attack on Kyiv
An adult female and a minor have been hospitalized due to a Russian ballistic missile attack on the capital of Ukraine. Powerful blasts shook Kyiv in the early hours, triggering nationwide air raid warnings and sending residents rushing to underground shelters. In neighbouring Poland, the air force deployed fighter jets as a precaution to secure its airspace during the assault. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said the casualties occurred in outlying districts and were later taken to medical centres within the city.
