Two of Keir Starmer's closest political allies have been recognised in the New Year Honours list. Anneliese Dodds, the Oxford East MP and former development minister, has been made a Dame for parliamentary and political service. Jonathan Ashworth, former Leicester South MP and recent CEO of Labour Together think tank, receives a CBE for parliamentary service and charitable advocacy for children of alcoholics. Both politicians have worked closely with Starmer throughout his political career.
