Why Jaguar Land Rover is cutting jobs after cyber attack and tariffs

Jaguar Land Rover is offering voluntary redundancies to save about £1.7 billion over the next two years. A cyber attack in September 2025 stopped production for over a month, costing the company £1.9 billion and causing a 27% drop in output. US tariffs on UK car imports and falling sales have also hit the carmaker.
