OpenAI and Anthropic get 80% of revenue from 1% of customers
New data shows a tiny fraction of customers generate most income for leading AI companies OpenAI and Anthropic. For Anthropic, two coding tools, Cursor and GitHub Copilot, were responsible for almost a quarter of its $5 billion revenue last year. This high concentration of spending is unusual for software companies, but 95% of financial firms already use AI.
