Why Did Trump Skip His Own CPAC This Year?

Public discomfort grew over the Iran war and its economic impact, including rising gas prices. Trump skipped the annual CPAC gathering for the first time in a decade, reportedly consumed by the conflict. Blackwater founder Erik Prince warned that forcing open the Strait of Hormuz or sending ground troops would produce images of burning American warships, while others backed the president.
