What 'one in, one out' means for boat crossings

The "one in, one out" scheme, aimed at stopping Channel crossings, will now continue for several more months. The UK and France agreed to extend the pilot deal, signed by leaders last July, which was set to end on 11 June. As of 28 April, 605 people had been returned to France under the controversial arrangement.
