West to Stand Against Starmer Unless Cabinet Acts by Monday

Former minister Catherine West has announced she will stand for the Labour leadership by Monday morning unless a cabinet minister challenges Keir Starmer first. West, MP for Hornsey and Friern Barnet, currently has ten MPs behind her, well below the 81 required to trigger a contest. She gave cabinet ministers until Sunday to collectively force Starmer from office.
