Wednesday's 26C ends UK's warm spell

Brits can expect noticeably cooler weather across most areas from Thursday, ending a spell of unseasonable warmth. Wednesday is forecast as the warmest day, with temperatures potentially hitting 26C in some locations, notably the Midlands, East Anglia and south-east England. This peak exceeds early April's average by roughly 10C, following Tuesday's 24.8C in Wales.
