Wales tourism tax needs more flexibility, says expert
A senior tourism lecturer at Bangor University, Dr Linda Osti, believes the Welsh government's tourism tax legislation needs to be revisited for greater flexibility. Anglesey council rejected the visitor levy last week, while Gwynedd and Conwy councils postponed decisions due to industry concerns. Cardiff council is currently the only local authority in Wales set to introduce the levy from 2027.
