Ambulance trips rise 70 per cent in cartel feud
Mexico’s president praised special forces for capturing the nation's most wanted fugitive, El Mencho, who died in custody on Sunday. Highlighting the violence caused by such leadership vacuums, paramedics in Culiacán reported that service demands rose by over 70 per cent last year. The Sinaloa cartel is currently fighting a deadly internal battle following the US imprisonment of former boss Ismael Zambada.
