Voyager probes could get another decade of life
New findings from interstellar regions could emerge as NASA plans to extend Voyager missions into the 2030s despite power issues. Engineers are testing a "Big Bang" manoeuvre from May 2026 on Voyager 2 to save power for the twin spacecraft. They aim to save nearly 10 watts by turning off three devices, delaying the need to shut down vital instruments.
