Vollering wins stage eight, takes yellow jersey by eight seconds

Demi Vollering of FDJ United-Suez won stage eight of the Tour de France Femmes on Saturday, snatching the yellow jersey in Nice. She finished in 4 hours, 2 minutes, 39 seconds, 17 seconds ahead of Elisa Longo Borghini and Kasia Niewiadoma-Phinney. Vollering now leads the overall race by eight seconds, with the final stage coming tomorrow.
