Gold climbs as dollar and oil fall
Cheaper access to bullion for buyers using other currencies helped lift demand, while lower energy prices also gave support. On 4 June, gold moved higher as traders weighed signs of progress towards ending fighting involving Iran and assessed policy comments from a top US central bank official. Spot gold traded at $4,461.09 an ounce by 0218 GMT, while August futures reached $4,487.90.
