Afghan man admits raping 12-year-old girl in UK
Ahmad Mulakhil, a 23-year-old Afghan national, pleaded guilty to raping a 12-year-old girl in Nuneaton on July 22. The case sparked significant anti-asylum protests in August, with demonstrators gathering outside Nuneaton Town Hall chanting anti-immigration slogans. Mulakhil changed his plea from not guilty to guilty at Warwick Crown Court and remains in custody alongside co-defendant Mohammad Kabir, who faces trial in January for related charges.
