FRC opens probe into PwC audit of WH Smith 2024 accounts.

People and investors could face fresh questions about company reporting as regulators examine work linked to a major retailer. Britain’s Financial Reporting Council said on Tuesday it had opened an investigation into PricewaterhouseCoopers’ audit of WH Smith’s accounts for the year ending August 2024. It follows a separate FCA inquiry, started in December, into possible breaches of listing and disclosure requirements.
