Venezuela democratic transition talks to start in early August

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that a democratic transition process for Venezuela is set to commence in early August. An agreement between the 2015 National Assembly, recognised by the US, and the interim Venezuelan government precedes this. The US has also provided $180 million in earthquake aid to Venezuela, which suffered devastating tremors in late June.
