VAR made an error awarding Haaland's derby winning goal
Pro Ref, the elite officiating body, admitted on Sunday that Erling Haaland's 60th-minute goal for Manchester City against Manchester United should not have stood. The VAR system failed to account for the probable effect of Enzo Fernández's offside position on United defender Lisandro Martínez. Pro Ref has reached out to Manchester United, and the incident is set to be reviewed.
