Oregon drops court push over Paramount deal

Plans for the proposed company combination can keep moving after a court delay request was withdrawn. Oregon Attorney General Dan Rayfield's office withdrew its motion on Friday after saying Paramount wouldn't comply with an investigative demand and would consider next steps. Paramount said the merger is lawful and pro-competitive, while Oregon had sought a 60 day pause before July 22.
