Venezuelan Government Blames US for Explosions and Aircraft Activity Over Caracas Military Installations

Venezuela's government accused the United States of attacking civilian and military installations after at least seven explosions and low-flying aircraft were heard around 2 a.m. Saturday in Caracas. Smoke was seen rising from military base hangars while another installation lost power. Residents reported ground shaking and planes overhead. The Pentagon and White House have not responded to the allegations. This incident follows months of escalating US military presence in Caribbean waters and Trump's threats of land operations against alleged Venezuelan drug trafficking operations.
