Major incident declared in Wales due to life-threatening floods as cold alert issued for England
A major incident has been declared in south Wales as several severe flood warnings indicate a “significant risk to life” in areas such as the River Monnow and River Wye.  Simultaneously, a cold-weather alert covers regions across England from 17 to 21 November, with below-freezing temperatures expected and “significant impacts possible across health and social care services”.
