US Speaker Expresses Disappointment Over China's London Embassy
US House Speaker Mike Johnson voiced his regret that the United States did not secure the location in London now slated for a large Chinese embassy. Johnson suggested the prominent embassy sends a message. MI5 officers have told the House of Commons speaker that they are 'very relaxed' about the proposed Chinese super-embassy in London. The planned 20,000 sq metre embassy will be constructed at Royal Mint Court near Tower Bridge.
