US forces conducted a large-scale military operation in Venezuela overnight, capturing President Nicolas Maduro and his wife during strikes on Caracas and military installations. Trump announced the US will temporarily run Venezuela until a proper transition occurs, with Maduro being flown to New York to face drug trafficking charges. The operation involved extensive military assets with explosions reported around 2am local time, while international leaders condemned the action as violating international law.
