US Economy Posts Strongest Growth in Two Years at 4.3% Annual Rate

The US economy expanded at a robust 4.3% annualized rate in the third quarter of 2025, marking the fastest growth pace in two years and significantly exceeding economists' expectations of 3.2%. The surge was driven primarily by accelerated consumer spending, which jumped to 3.5%, and a strong 8.8% rise in exports. Government spending also contributed positively to growth. However, inflation concerns persist as the PCE index rose to 2.8%, above the Federal Reserve's 2% target, potentially limiting future interest rate cuts.
