Uninsured driver, cannabis: 3 years 10 months for child's death
Families are reminded daily of a child's death after a driver received a jail sentence for a fatal Birmingham crash. Javonnie Tavener, 23, was jailed on Friday after his uninsured car drove onto the pavement in April, killing Mayar Yahia, four. He admitted causing death by careless driving, seriously injuring two others, and driving with cannabis in his system.
