Undercover police officer Carlo Soracchi is accused of using public money for a Venice holiday with a woman he was deceiving. Metropolitan police documents confirm flights and accommodation payments, despite Soracchi claiming the trip was to meet Italian socialists. Lindsey, the woman, told a public inquiry they did not meet activists during their three-day stay. Soracchi stated his covert Special Demonstration Squad unit had authorised the travel.
