UN nuclear watchdog identifies location of Iran’s high-grade uranium stockpile
A confidential report issued by the global nuclear watchdog states that Iran maintains uranium, refined to levels approaching those used in weapons, at an underground facility in Isfahan. The disclosure to member countries marks the first time the UN nuclear watchdog has specified where the material is stored. Although the facility’s entrance was reportedly hit by military strikes in June last year, the site is believed to still be functioning. IAEA inspectors say they currently lack access to confirm the stockpile size or observe activities there.
