UK vehicle production drops to lowest level since 1952
British vehicle manufacturing plummeted to its lowest level since 1952, with only 764,715 units produced in 2025. The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders reported a 15.5% annual decline, attributing the slump to a crippling cyberattack on Jaguar Land Rover, the closure of Vauxhall’s Luton plant, and trade uncertainties.
