UK seizes 25 boats and engines for Channel crossings

On 18 July, officials at Felixstowe Port confiscated 25 inflatable vessels and 25 outboard motors. The National Crime Agency (NCA) said the shipment, from China, was likely headed to Germany for people smugglers in France and Belgium. It is thought this represents the initial occasion a large shipment of such gear intended for people smugglers has been impounded in the UK.
