One year after the Sudanese city of El Fasher fell to the Rapid Support Forces, Britain has sanctioned 15 commanders from both sides of the war over suspected atrocities including rape. The measures freeze assets and impose travel bans. Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband said rape and starvation are still being used as weapons. The UK is also giving £15m to survivors and wider humanitarian aid.
