UK quietly weighed pausing Israel trade deal over Gaza

The Department for Business and Trade modelled the fallout of a pause in response to the situation in Gaza and the West Bank. Officials kept the review quiet until the campaign group Global Justice Now uncovered it this month using a freedom of information request. The 2019 agreement remains active today, allowing most Israeli goods into Britain without tariffs while supporting thousands of domestic export jobs.
