UK May Not Pay Mauritius for Chagos Deal

Sky News reports Britain would not compensate Mauritius if the Chagos deal collapses. Mauritian Prime Minister Navin Ramgoolam considers legal action, saying delays hit his nation's budget hard. The UK was to provide Mauritius over £100m annually to lease the Diego Garcia base. The treaty bill is paused in Lords, a Nigel Farage suggestion, but government expects deal to continue.
