UK flight cancellations ease after two days of disruption

The UK aviation system has largely stabilised today after a technical issue caused widespread disruption on Tuesday and Wednesday. Aviation analytics firm Cirium reported that only 54 arrivals and 47 departures were cancelled on Thursday. Passengers at Gatwick Airport could face more delays next week due to planned strikes by over 220 assisted travel workers.
