UK financial watchdog bans three wealth managers over £35.5m visa scam

Wealthy clients handed over £400,000 each rather than investing the required £2m into British businesses. The Financial Conduct Authority said three former Dolfin Financial bosses ran the operation between 2016 and 2019, helping 99 people dodge immigration rules. Two of the men face personal fines totalling nearly £450,000, while the government completely shut down the fast-track route in 2022.
