UK expects wetter, warmer autumn with flood risk from El Niño

The Met Office forecasts a wetter and warmer-than-normal autumn for the UK, driven by a strengthening El Niño climate phenomenon. The El Niño climate phenomenon could bring an increased chance of flooding, especially from November, even as most of England remains in drought. Environment Secretary Angela Eagle recommended that individuals keep food supplies on hand in case of severe weather.
