UK considers retaliation after Trump announces 15% tariff

Downing Street indicated it might take action if America fails to honour existing trade agreements following President Trump's latest announcement. The President plans to introduce a 15 per cent charge on imports starting Tuesday, replacing levies recently blocked by courts. Experts warn Britain could suffer significantly because this new rate exceeds the 10 per cent deal previously negotiated with Washington. However, American officials insist that specific agreements regarding sectors like cars and steel will remain in place.
